Ambr. S 31 sup., f. 109r

F. 109r preserves verses 165-181 of Callimachus’ Third Hymn (Hymn to Artemis), with four interlinear glosses in red ink and eight short scholia placed on the right margin of the page, one of which appears on the left margin next to its corresponding lemma. The scholia on the right margin are set at an equal distance from the poetic text. In keeping with the scribe’s modus scribendi, each scholion – always beginning with a red initial letter – is preceded by a reference mark that also appears beside the word it explains.

The dimensions of the writing space on fol. 109r are (height × width) mm 17 [157] 57 × 24 [70] 66.
