Biography

Lara Pagani is Associate Professor of Greek Literature at the University of Genova. Her main research interests concern ancient Greek scholarship and grammar, Homeric studies, Greek lexicography and the studies on language in ancient Greece, as well as literary papyrology. She has been the scientific responsible of a research unit within the FIRB project “Omero, Esiodo, Pindaro, Eschilo: forme e trasmissione dell’esegesi antica” funded by the Italian government (2013-2016). Since 2005 she has been one of the Rédacteurs of the Italian office of L’Année Philologique. She is a member of the scientific commettee of the series “Pleiadi” (Edizioni di Storia e Letteratura) and associate editor of the journal “Trends in Classics” and of the series “Trends in classics. Supplementary volumes” (de Gruyter). She is co-editor of the series Supplementum Grammaticum Graecum (SGG, Brill), of the encyclopedia Lexicon of Greek Grammarians of Antiquity (LGGA, BrillOnline), and of a forthcoming new edition of the scholia to the Iliad (de Gruyter). Her publications include a critical edition of the fragments of Asclepiades of Myrlea (2007) and more than a hundred among articles published in journals or miscellanies and encyclopedia entries.
